Baker Back to Boro

Nuneaton Town FC are delighted to announce that Louis Baker has agreed to return to the club for the 2024/25 season.

Louis was part of the Nuneaton Borough Under 21’s where he was made captain. He made his first appearance for the club during the 2021/22 preseason campaign during a 0-0 draw with Shepshed Dynamo.

Most fans will remember the audacious goal from Louis in the FA Cup tie vs Lichfield City in a game which he played alongside his dad Carl Baker who was captain on the day.

During his time with the club Baker had loan spells with Atherstone Town and Lichfield City. After departing the Boro, Louis went on to have a successful trial at Telford which lead to him signing with the club with his dad Carl being assistant manager at the time. Since then he went on to sign permanently with Lichfield City after departing Darlaston Town where he scored five goals in eighteen appearances.

Joint manager Russel Dodd said, “Louis is a great talent from the local area and having watched him for a numbers of years, we really wanted him to be part of the new Nuneaton squad. I believe Louis has massive potential to play a lot higher and I know he has a great career ahead of him. At a young age he has already played at a high standard and he will be an important player for Nuneaton to progress back up the leagues. He is definitely a player that is the future of the club.”

Welcome to the club, Louis.
