I went to Manor Park with my brother, on the 24th November 1979. It was the FA Cup 1st round against Northwich Victoria. Eamon Pugh scored a hat trick in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Unfortunately, we lost the replay 3-0.

Paul Sugrue. I loved his energy and passion before he got whisked away to Man City.

Mark Lacrouts - Supporters’ Co-Operative Representative

What is your first Boro’ memory?

The 1984 FA Cup match Vs Scunthorpe United. It was such a great match - end to end. As a 13 year old kid, the lure of the floodlights from my bedroom window was too much to resist. I was hooked instantly.

Who is your favourite Boro Player?

Too many to mention, but for me it’s got to be Paul Culpin. I’ve never seen a more natural finisher in blue and white stripes. So dangerous anywhere near the penalty area.

Why did you want to be on the board?

Being a lifelong supporter who goes home and away, I’m so proud to be involved. It’s a true honour and a privilege. I have stood on the terraces, I understand people's shared scars and trepidations from repeated poor custodianship. Therefore, I felt that I had to oversee a real step-change in our club’s future by putting the fans and the club front and centre of everything I do.

What do you hope to achieve as part of the Board?

Firstly, and most importantly, is delivering a well-managed ambitious team and a sustainably financed club that can stand on its own feet. Re-establish the club that I love’s reputation with the fan base and the wider community. Establish a continued dialogue between the supporters and us the people running your club. Promote a clear pathway for local girls and boys to play for our relevant first teams. I believe if we do it right as a club on and off the pitch we will attract our fantastic fans, sponsors and ultimately great partners to bring our football club back home to Nuneaton.
