Nuneaton Town FC are pleased to welcome forward James Spruce to the club.

James spent his early years in football playing for the likes of Walsall and Solihull Moors Junior teams. He then moved on to join Bristol Rovers Under 18’s and 21’s where in his second year he was selected to represent Wales Under 19’s in 2017. Whilst with the Under 18’s James was awarded the teams Player of the Year Award. “Sprucey” would leave The Pirates in the summer of 2019 to join Gloucester City before moving to Heather St. Johns the following season. His performances for Gresley earned himself a move to Long Eaton United before finishing the season at Coleshill Town. The centre forward has also had loan spells with Cinderford Town and Halesowen. Between 2017 and 2018, James represented Wales Under 19’s in five friendlies and three Euros Qualifiers scoring one goal.
