Who we will be facing next season?
After the recent FA provisional league announcements Boro fan, and steering group member, Matt Jones gives us a brief introduction to our potential Midland Football League Division 1 opponents for the 2024/25 season;
AFC Bridgnorth: The furthest trip for Boro at around 59 miles, finished bottom of the league last season but were reprieved.
Allexton and New Parks: From North West Leicester, promoted from the Leicestershire Senior League.
Bilston Town: An old foe from the 1990's, nestled between Walsall and Wolverhampton, Bilston's bright orange ground is a good standard for this league.
Birstall United: The first of many teams transferred from United Counties League Division 1, the eastern most team in this division based North East of Leicester.
Chelmsley Town: Groundsharing with Coleshill Town, a regular visit for Boro fans previously.
Coton Green: Tamworth's second team, kids will enjoy the full size pitch right next to the main pitch, and that it's right round the corner from Drayton Manor.
Coventry Copsewood: A regular opponent in previous Birmingham Senior Cup competitions.
Cradley Town: A classic old ground located between Stourbridge and Halesowen.
Gornal Athletic: From near Dudley, promoted from the West Midlands Regional League, left their Garden Walk ground at the end of the season and will play at a new ground next season.
Heather St John's: Don't mispronounce it. It's 'Heether'. Hinckley groundshared at this ground just outside Ibstock for many seasons.
Ingles: Located in Thringstone just north of Coalville, missed out in the play-offs last season.
Kirby Muxloe: West Leicester based team moved from United Counties League Division 1.
Leicester St Andrews: Aylestone Park's near neighbours from south Leicester, transferred from United Counties League 1.
Lutterworth Athletic: Lutterworth Town's neighbours, a nice short jaunt down the A5, transferred from United Counties League Division 1.
Nuneaton Griff: Our respected friends and neighbours. We will meet in a historic league game for the first time. Expect a packed Pingles and Oval when we meet.
Paget Rangers: Groundsharing with Sutton Coldfield Town FC, another old foe of Boro's from the 1990's.
Saffron Dynamo: Based in Cosby just south of Leicester, transferred from United Counties League Division 1.
Smethwick Rangers: Groundsharing with Boldmere St Michael's, a ground familiar to Boro who went there in the Birmingham Senior Cup a few months ago.
Stapenhill: Based just south of Burton, a quirky little ground that will be an enjoyable visit.
Sutton United: Not the London one, this one is based in Sutton Coldfield, just down the road from Paget Rangers.
Wednesfield: Another of the Wolverhampton area teams, Bilston's local derby.
