Pegg joins NTFC

Nuneaton Town FC are pleased to announce that striker Chandler Pegg has joined the club.

Pegg left Hinckley AFC last month after helping steer them to promotion from Step 6 by scoring an impressive 41 goals in 46 games across two seasons.

He began his footballing career at Tamworth FC playing for the first team as well as their academy. Chandler has also had spells at Lichfield City, Romulus and Highgate United.

“I feel that I am not your typical striker,” said Pegg. “I like running in behind, linking up and also I enjoy creating goals. However, my main aim to get in the box to score goals.”

“After meeting with Darren and Doddsy, I was excited to hear their plans for the future of the club and was intrigued by what they are planning,” he continued. “I want to support getting the club up the leagues as quickly as possible. I had a few clubs contact me, it was hard to make a decision, but the main thing for me is to enjoy my football”.

Darren Acton welcomed Chandler and said “Russ and I are happy to get Chandler over the line. He is a prolific number 9 and will have that cutting edge we need to push on this season. His stats speak for themselves and with him recently winning the league he knows what has to be done to do so and will fit into the team very well”.

Welcome to Nuneaton Town, Chandler!
