Nuneaton Town return to The Oval on Saturday afternoon for the second A5 derby against Coton Green.
The Town, flawless in 2025, face a tough test to keep that going against the 3rd placed Greens, who themselves have picked up their form since the first installment in February, although due to weather they have only played twice, beating Coventry Copsewood and Gornal Athletic.
That first installment, played less than a month ago after itself falling victim to the weather twice, finished 2-0 to the Town with late goals from Dec Somel and Cody Mullan in front of 271.
After Nuneaton picked up a 14th straight win in all competitions last Saturday (13 league games) in a battling 4-2 win at Allexton & New Parks, impressively becoming the first team in the United Kingdom to reach 90 points this season, they now know that 4 more wins from the final 6 games will seal the title even if 2nd placed Heather St John's win all their remaining games. However, Nuneaton haven't kept a clean sheet since that win at Coton Green a few weeks ago, so this will be something to aim for on Saturday.
Can Nuneaton tick off another win on their title charge, or will Coton leave them Green with envy? It's a huge game on Saturday and the Town need your support.
