Green Light for Gillies as terms agreed

Nuneaton Town FC are pleased to announce that 21-year-old left sided defender/midfield has agreed Callum Gillies has agreed terms with the club for the upcoming season.

Gillies spent last season playing for Tividale FC in the Midland Football League Premier Division (Step 5) where he made 44 appearances including 31 league starts. Callum’s breakout season has to be the 2021/22 campaign, where he scored eight goals from 25 starts for Halesowen Town Under 21’s. The following season saw Callum make appearances for Bewdley Town and Lye Town, before moving to Tividale last summer.

Joint managers Darren Acton and Russell Dodd were quick to praise the Birmingham born youngster saying, “We are delighted to get Callum through the door. He will be a good signing for us and will bring a good attitude to the dressing room. He was given the opportunity to play higher up this season but chose to step down to join us which shows he is very passionate about getting the club back to where it should be”

Welcome to the club, Callum
