Alfie Agrees

Nuneaton Town FC are delighted to announce that another young prospect will be joining the team for next season.

16-year-old centre half Alfie Birta who expressed his excitement about joining the club saying, “I’m looking forward to the challenge in playing for a big club like Nuneaton. Thank you to the management and Kyle for giving me the opportunity. I can’t wait for the season to start.”

Alfie spent the tail end of last season training with the Nuneaton Borough first team after Kyle Storer saw potential in the youngster.

Birta has a few accolades to his name despite still only being 16, he’s previously captained the West Midlands County team as well as winning the U18’s Cup last season.

Russel Dodd was pleased to get another young talent over the line saying, “Alfie is a part of a group of local lads who are all up and coming with some real potential. The management team are working closely with Kyle Storer and the Academy to build a pathway into first team football for these boys as they are the future of the club.”
